As a former Navy sailor with a Bachelor of Science in Homeland Security and Intelligence and a Master's in Education, I bring a unique blend of experiences to the classroom. My time in the military gave me valuable skills in research, report writing, and training that I now use to help students think critically and stay disciplined in their studies. With over 10 years of teaching experience, I've had the pleasure of working with students in many walks of life. From 3rd grade to adults I have experience teaching a variety of subjects, including Research and Report writing skills, Math, Science and History.

I currently teach 4th grade, where I get to make learning fun and engaging for young minds. While I love teaching a wide range of subjects, History and Writing are where my real passion lies. I enjoy helping my students see the connections between past events and their everyday lives, and I love encouraging them to express themselves through writing in creative and meaningful ways.

Education has always been a way for me to make a difference, and I truly believe in the power of teaching not just academic skills, but life skills as well. I want my students to not only grow in the knowledge of their subjects, but also feel confident, curious, and ready to take on the world.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy reading, writing, and staying active with outdoor activities. Whether it's exploring new ideas for my students or just taking some time to relax and recharge, I'm always looking for ways to grow and keep learning myself.
