My passion for helping students comes from a deep belief that education has the power to open doors, build confidence, and change lives. There is something incredibly rewarding about watching a student go from confusion to clarity, and knowing that I played a role in that moment of understanding. I love being able to support students not just in mastering content, but in building the self-assurance to tackle challenges independently.

I have had the privilege of teaching middle school students, where I've developed a strong understanding of the unique developmental, academic, and emotional needs of this age group. Working with English Language Learners has also been a central part of my experience. I'm especially passionate about supporting ELLs as they build both their language skills and confidence in navigating academic content. Helping students bridge language barriers while celebrating their diverse backgrounds has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education from The University of New Orleans where I gained a love of classic literature and young adult fiction. My academic journey has fueled both my love for learning and my desire to not just help others thrive academically but to also discover a love of learning all their own.

I tutor a range of subjects including English, Reading, Writing, and Study Skills. My favorite subject to tutor is Writing because I enjoy the creativity of writing, the power of storytelling and helping young writers find their voice.

My teaching philosophy is centered around meeting students where they are. I aim to create a learning environment that feels supportive, encouraging, and responsive to each student's needs. I believe that learning should be interactive and student-centered, and I tailor my tutoring style to suit each individual's pace and learning preferences. I focus on building understanding, not just memorization, and I always strive to foster curiosity and confidence.
