I earned my undergraduate and master's degrees, as well as licensures, from Lenoir Rhyne University, Western Carolina University, and the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. I have taught school for over 20 years, from elementary through high school, working specifically with students with a wide range of disabilities. I tutor language arts and math. I like to teach using real-life examples, when possible, hands-on processes, discussions and with related games. I want to do what it takes to get the idea across. When not teaching, I enjoy hiking with my dog, creating books, and watching hockey.
