I've always had a passion for education and helping students achieve the best results that they can. I've spent eight years working as a classroom teacher and four before that working in an extracurricular skill-building program while earning a double major in math education and history from Northwestern University. Education is incredibly important to me, especially math. Math is vital to our society, especially today in the technology we employ, and our ability to understand it helps us find rewarding and profitable careers. Math is universal. I also completed a degree in history and I enjoy getting to explore the past. When I tutor, I like to focus on the "how" and "why" of both math and history, not just the facts, the numbers, the answers. To apply both subjects, students need to know the "how" and "why".
