Certified Tutor
I am currently pursuing a degree in Applied Mathematics and Finance at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), where I have developed a deep appreciation for problem-solving, logical reasoning, and the power of education. My passion for tutoring stems from a desire to use my academic strengths to help others especially underprivileged students from my community overcome educational barriers and discover their own potential.
I have experience mentoring peers and younger students in math and science, and I believe in creating a supportive, patient, and engaging environment where students feel confident asking questions and exploring concepts at their own pace. My favorite subjects to tutor are algebra, calculus, and statistics, as I enjoy breaking down complex problems into manageable steps and showing students how math applies to the real world. I am also really interested in tutoring students in SAT prep.
My tutoring philosophy is centered around clarity, encouragement, and adaptability. Every student learns differently, and I take the time to understand their goals, strengths, and challenges in order to build personalized strategies that empower them to succeed.
Outside of academics, I'm passionate about art, playing golf, exploring the outdoors, reading literature, and watching films and documentaries that spark curiosity and new ideas. I bring this same spirit of curiosity and creativity into my tutoring sessions, aiming not only to improve grades but to inspire a lifelong love of learning.
