Certified Tutor

I'm a senior at UMass Amherst pursuing a degree in Political Science and Spanish. I am also currently enrolled in an online TEFL certification course to teach English as a second language. I'm passionate about both politics and language -- in the past I volunteered in a second grade classroom to help teach literature, and I am currently tutoring native Spanish speakers in the English Language. I enjoy talking about politics and government and hope to share my knowledge and passion with the next generation of students as a tutor in those subjects. I also absolutely love Spanish language, cultures, and literature and think they are so important for students to understand. Finally, I am an avid reader and writer and look forward to sharing the beauty and enjoyment of books and writing with students. I believe learning should be active and engaging, and that conversation and discussion is the best way to share ideas and knowledge, as well as foster genuine understanding.
