I am a retired high school math and physics teacher. I received my Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan and my Masters in Math Education from Western Michigan University. I have over 30 years of experience in teaching a variety of classes both in person and online, and many years of tutoring students beyond the classroom. I have a strong passion for any kind of mathematics and physics, and also for helping students in these subjects. I believe knowledge is power. I also believe the skills used to do math and science are important to understanding the world in many areas; for example, weather, economy, household repairs and finances, statistics used in the news, your healthcare, etc. I believe all students can learn in the right circumstances. I am excited about helping students who have a desire for self improvement. If a students wants to do better, I will find a way to help them make that happen. I am compassionate and understanding, accepting of all types of people, patient and kind. These are my values and I honor them in all areas of my life.

I have many things I like to do to enrich my life. I love to read and usually have at least two books going at once. I love to garden and I have dozens of plants in my home and a beautiful yard that I enjoy landscaping. Cooking and baking are both passions of mine. I like to say "food is my love language". I do yoga every single day; I haven't missed a day for over three years. I also enjoy walking and hiking. I love to watch professional football and baseball. I enjoy some college football too. Music is a big part of my life. My husband and I spend hours just sitting and listening to music. I love animals too. I currently have one cat.
