I am a graduate of Boston University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a concentration in German. Since graduation, I have traveled around the world, organizing school activities that encouraged parents to be active participants in their children's education, leading & teaching in a youth service-oriented program, teaching Japanese students conversational English, and teaching ELA and Social Studies in a traditional middle school classroom. I have also edited and proofread books, newsletters, college essays, and more. While I also tutor History, I am most passionate about teaching English. I believe reading and writing well are the most important skills anyone can have. I know that everyone learns differently, and I believe that by personalizing learning to the individual, every student can be successful. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, and spending time with my family.
