Education is a right for every student. We all have our unique ways of learning. Once you discover what works best for you, the opportunities are endless. I have a passion for history and consider myself a history enthusiast. However, I understand not everyone shares my enthusiasm. That's why I am dedicated to making history accessible and engaging for everyone.
I received my bachelor's degree in history from the University of West Alabama. While I loved studying history, I needed more time to prepare for teaching. I returned to school and got a master's degree in Secondary Education from the University of Phoenix. I have been teaching for 18 years. I love all areas of social studies. I love Ancient World History, American history, psychology, American Government, and criminal justice. I enjoy helping a student see the value of looking at the past. It may be cliche, but those who do not learn from their history are doomed to repeat it. History is not just dead people and dates. It is an ongoing story in which all people play a role. I want to convey that to my students.
