My passion for education is rooted in the belief that learning is a cornerstone of personal and professional growth. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have dedicated myself to helping students excel in math, English Language Arts (ELA), and science. This dedication stems from a genuine desire to see students thrive and achieve their full potential.
I graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neural Science. My coursework included Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, and various Neural Science subjects. During my time at university, I volunteered as a tutor, helping underclassmen with their STEM courses and guiding fellow neural science students in their career planning and academic growth.
For the past two years, I have worked as a Math and ELA tutor, assisting students in grades 3-8. I create personalized lesson plans to make learning enjoyable and effective, helping students achieve academic success. My focus on mentorship, diverse teaching methods, and ongoing support has led to significant improvements in student performance and confidence. My volunteer work at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and participation in Lenox Hill's Brainterns Summer Enrichment Program provided me with valuable experience in applied sciences. Additionally, I have mentored students through the NYU Society for Undergraduate Neural Science and the NYU Peer Mentoring Undergraduate Program.
My teaching philosophy is centered on personalization and student-focused learning. I believe each student has unique strengths and challenges, so I adapt my teaching methods to meet their needs. My tutoring sessions are interactive and designed to make learning fun and effective. I strive to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. My goal is to inspire a love of learning in all my students and help them reach their full potential in math, ELA, and science.
