My interest in engineering began during a time of occupation change. During this time I was severely ill where I was bed ridden for almost 3 years. During this time, my interest in continuing to work in the music industry was gone and I released I wanted something new. I always had a fascination about how objects moved. And this is when I began to study electrical and aeronautical engineering. Laying in bed day after day books and note pads next to my pillow. I first learned about RC filters and cambered wings. As my health improved, I looked for ways to show people I knew my stuff. As demonstration of my knowledge, I passed the FE-Mechanical Exam from NCEES.
I'm currently working towards two engineering graduate degrees in electrical and aeronautical engineering. My first experience in tutoring began in grad school where fellow graduates had difficulty understanding power electronics. During that time, it was evident I have the ability to take complex subjects and break them down into smaller and easy to understand concepts. As a result of this, the grads who once shied away from this subject gained fluency that resulted in passing their final exams.
Subjects I tutor are aeronautical, electrical, and mechanical engineering. Additionally, I tutor in mathematics. My education is quite diverse. I'm currently completing undergraduate requirements at TESU and concurrently working on my MS-EE at University of Colorado-Boulder. In addition to these degree programs, I've completed mechanical and aeronautical engineering courses at Georgia Institute of Technology and TU Delft. At this time it's undecided as to where I will obtain my MS-AE degree.
My teaching method is from the broad to the specific. For instance, when teaching the Bernoulli Theorem, I first explain what it means in simple language. And then progress to the equation and its application. Another teaching technique I use is to apply a concept through permutations.
When I'm not engineering, I'm either composing music or volunteering in my neighborhood helping to improve properties.
