I am nearly bilingual in Spanish and have a B.A. in Elementary Education.
I love teaching the foundational skills of reading, writing, and math to elementary students, as it helps them have even more success later on in their school career and lives.
Helping students reach their light bulb moment of understanding through one-on-one and small group work is extremely rewarding, and one of my favorite parts of the school day. I believe that this time is absolutely essential to student success because it meets students where they are at, you get to know them better as a person, and I can redirect instruction in the moment.

I love tutoring Spanish because I've been through the struggle of language learning and I want to help others get through it too- it's a lot to wrap your mind around! After 7 years of learning Spanish in a variety of settings including high school classes, Spanish immersion school, various tutors, and living in Spanish speaking countries, I can confidently say that it was worth it. The power of perseverance pays off!
