Hello everyone! My name is MiKayla. I am a tutor for math and chemistry. I began a degree in biomedical engineering and am now studying neuroscience and neuroengineering shortly after. I have had a couple of incredible teachers over the years for both math and chemistry who explained concepts to me in a way that changed the way I learned the content. I am a big believer in no bad subjects, just poor explanations. I plan to use creative and fun ways to explain difficult concepts to make them much easier (and more enjoyable) to learn! I teach by taking additional time with the initial learning curve to really understand the fundamentals in each topic. I have noticed by doing this, people are able to grasp new and challenging ideas so much faster later as new concepts appear. I look forward to working with you all!

My career interests are in mental health and engineering. I am working towards degrees in both social work and neuroengineering to treat mental health conditions on both a psychological and biological level. My personal interests include traveling, cooking, art, and writing! I am currently working on a sci-fi novel.
