Learning has become a constant companion. Diving into the recesses of my mind, and what sparked its curiosity, has become another entity, a fellow spirit. I am passionate to lead others be introduced to this spirit, to Sophia, as the Greek scholars described it, to acknowledge. I earned a certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Michigan, while still residing in Ecuador. This allowed me to teach English to 510-year-olds. The most magical experience during this time came in the shape of a little girl. She would refuse to repeat the sentences students have to parrot back. Instead, she resolved to reply with a loud "Moo" to each sentence. I went in front of her, after class. I knelt in front of her, and we went on to have a "Moo" conversation for some minutes. This continued for a few days until she resolved to follow the classes, and there after! The grace given to me was to throw myself into the little girl's mind and to meet her where she was at. This has been the higher lesson given to me while teaching.
Having Immigrated to the United Stated, and after over a year working at Panera Bread and Blockbuster, I resolved to follow the subject I have found the most impossible to realize. I earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the New Jersey Institute of Technology while graduating from the Albert Dorman Honors College and while carrying the School of Architecture Gonfalon during the graduation ceremony. Feeling respect for the labor of previous generations, I followed on with earning a master's degree in Historic Preservation from Pratt Institute.
I am passionate about teaching the English Language, as it has opened the following doors to me. For instance, I took multiple TOEFL tests as I prepared for college. Not having been the most talented Architecture student during my undergraduate education, I can state that I was the one who loved the subject the most. This is a delight I carry on and love to communicate. Having studied Historic Preservation allowed me to gain understanding for the built environment overall. Subjects studied during this time included human geography, microeconomics, statistics, amongst others.
I would love to share insight and understanding to the subjects a student needs, yet the most important task, and what I have learned from my professors, is to share love for acknowledge itself. This is achieved by becoming a motivator, by creating a mental space where a person is presented as an example to follow, and by having that person descend to where another, i.e. the student is, so that meeting in this mental space, they can move to another. Finally, learning has not always been delightful to me, yet I am hoping that I can bring delight and joy to another person's learning, so it becomes, as it has become to me, a companion itself.
Having said this, other delightful subjects to me are currently taking care of 6 little puppies one of my fianc's dogs has delivered, and enjoying the company of a lady, said fianc, I thought I would never be lucky enough to meet and to keep.

The narration and inspiration intrinsic in movies are a great source of learning and of humanization. Historic and Political documentaries are a particular joy. Pleasurable for me has also been to see the stars and to match the shapes made by people long ago in the constellations.
