The child of a high school English teacher, I was also a TA for Modern History and Rhetoric in high school. I worked on a college admissions team and read thousands upon thousands of student essays. As an ADHD busywork-hater, I'm passionate about helping you get value out of your class and find actual meaning in the material. I tutor with History, Rhetoric, and English, and my favorite subject is writing. Having read a lot of student writing, I am confident that I can help you find your own voice.
I graduated from Hampshire College with a BA in history which had an emphasis on medieval Persian and Arabic poetry. During my time there, I was a Teaching Assistant for Political Economy, and I worked with students one-on-one to manage their workload and improve their writing. I led our Salsa Reuda and Tango Club and coached students in dance. Outside of school, I like to sew my own clothes, embroider, read fiction (The Locked Tomb and the The Lord of the Rings are some of my favorite series), and paint.
