Certified Tutor

I am a certified teacher with a diploma, bachelors and a masters in English. My most recent certification - Masters in English and Adult and Continuing Education - is from American College of Education. For the last nineteen years I have been teaching English to teenage learners, who are from socially disadvantaged backgrounds. My core job is to prepare learners for standardized assessments in English Language Arts. I, however, dedicate a lot of time to tutoring learners who are in need of remedial support in reading, writing, and critical thinking. I am passionate about getting my learners to understand that their circumstances do not define them or determine how much they can achieve. My commitment to my learners has had a positive impact on their personal and academic success. When I am not engaged with my learners, I am either reading , listening to music, or enjoying quality time with my family.
