Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. I received my Bachelor of Arts in History with a focus on American History. After graduation I worked eight years in retail merchandising as a buyer for both American Eagle and Bath & Body Works. This time in retail improved my communication skills and taught me how to focus on the needs of our customer. I used these skills when I went back to school and earned a teaching license for the state of Ohio. What I love most about my Integrated Social Studies License is that it allows me to teach many Social Studies classes like History (US, World), Government, Economics, Geography and every other Social Studies class from grade 7-12. After receiving my license I spent time both in the classroom and online tutoring students and found my teaching style better suited the customizable experience of small group and one-on-one teaching sessions. I believe every student learns differently so working as a tutor I can adjust my style to meet the needs of the student.
