I am a former classroom teacher with 14+ years of experience. I have taught a wide variety of subjects to students from 5th to 12th grade. My BA is in English, I have a JD, and I am a professionally trained actor/singer. I've had great success with junior high math classes and liberal arts classes from 7th to 12th grade, as well as SAT prep. I'm passionate about giving students the academic tools for success, as well as the critical thinking skills so necessary for life.

I like to think of myself as a Renaissance man, a lifetime learner with many cultural, artistic, and active interests. I am an award-winning writer of screenplays, stage plays and prose fiction. I enjoy reading history and literature. My outdoor activities have included hiking, biking, backpacking, kayaking, and horseback riding. I'm a skilled ballroom dancer, a trained singer/actor, a competent chess player, a good cook, and a novice piano player.
