My entire life has been dedicated to education, and I get great joy from helping others learn. I understand everyone's learning process is unique and know how to adapt to and meet each individual's needs. Seeing the lightbulb moment and the smile indicating understanding are my greatest rewards.

I am certified in English 6-12 and ESL 6-12 with over 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience. My career began in higher and adult education, so I also have those areas of expertise. I worked as a state assessment coordinator, write questions for test publishers, and am a federal alignment specialist, so I am able to explain testing in great detail.

My teaching and tutoring draw on a background of great breadth. My undergraduate studies were mainly in architectural engineering and communication; while as a graduate student, I specialized in language acquisition, syntax, and sociolinguistics. My testing experience is not limited to Reading, Writing, TELPAS, STAAR, Common Core, etc. but also includes over 60 specializations in CATE/CTE. I have lived abroad and travelled extensively.
