I am attending The University of Virginia, studying Music and Premed. I have tutored kids ranging from K-12 in subjects varying from voice training and music theory to AP Language essay writing and reviewing. I am passionate about teaching students about the tools and methods of AP Language and Composition as well as AP Literature. I believe that the skills gained in these classes are vital to one's ability to write compelling arguments and analysis - a lifetime tool! Being an author, poet, and avid consumer of literature, I would say that my favorite part of English is the different styles of writing in which a writer can get their ideas and messages across. Having a strong hold on these different styles and techniques of writing can apply to many other areas in life. When I teach, I believe in imparting this appreciation for the tools to be gained through English classes, and uplifting students to write more and more. In my spare time, I love to paint, sing, play violin and ukulele, write, and go on walks!
