Hi! My name is Sarah and I specialize in Latin 1-3 & Classics, Hebrew 1, English & Literature, History, & more in K-12, college, & adults. I have studied Classical and Ecclesiastical Latin 1-3 for 16+ years now & taught the Latin language for close to a decade. My teacher & Oxford Latin scholar, Dr. Richard Gerberding, taught me Classical and Ecclesiastical Latin 1-3 and I learned the delicate balance of Latin and English grammar and vocab that unlocks the door to historical translations and opens the door to more in depth linguistic studies. Adding to Latin, in 2024, I started a lifelong journey in the Biblical and Modern Hebrew language where I've studied the alphabet, pronunciation of vowels & consonants, Hebrew & English vocab, and rudimentary translational work. I add to this my study of Jewish History Old Testament studies in addition to the more modern Arab-Israeli wars to provide a well-rounded linguistic and historical backdrop to the Jewish nation. My final language that I study is English in Writing Mechanics, Essay Writing, Grammar, Literature, and more so I can teach students not only how to analyze and write in English confidently but also translate in it effortlessly as that is the foundation of any linguistic studies. My academic background is rich not just in English Literature and Composition but History with a Classical cognate as I was a double undergraduate major for 4+ years before going into the Business and Accounting fields. I have studied World (Ancient, British, & Military) History for 6+ years as a Tolkien and Hobbit enthusiast. I enjoy a good discussion and I look forward to the summer classes. Let me know if I can help you learn a new, academic skillset! Carpe Diem (Latin for "Seize the Day")!
