I graduated from SUNY Old Westbury with a BA in childhood education and graduated from Dowling with a MA in special education. I have taught kindergarten for 2 years, 2nd grade for 7 years and 5th grade for 1 year. I have 2 years experience of coaching teachers and helping them read and understand their classroom data. I am currently teaching 6th grade math and special education. My passion is teaching students at all different levels, helping to identify areas of strengths, that will then be used to help push progress in areas of less success. I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher, so when I am not in front of students, I truly enjoy reading. I read educational books to continue my constant learning. I also read for pleasure. When I have free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends. Nights by the fire pit and laughing makes the best kind of night.
