I am a graduate of Mississippi State University with a B.S. in Chemistry, where I gained hands-on experience in analytical and biochemistry research. I later became an ASCP-certified Medical Laboratory Scientist, which has strengthened both my technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

As a tutor, my goal is to make complex scientific mathematic concepts approachable and engaging. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to meet each learner's unique needs, whether through step-by-step explanations, real-world examples, or active problem-solving practice. I strive to build not only subject mastery, but also confidence, so students feel empowered in their learning journey!

Hobbies

When I can, I enjoy traveling! I have toured most of the United States several times and have also visited four other countries, which has given me a greater appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. I love exploring new places, meeting new people, and learning through experience, so I can try to bring THAT into my teaching as well! I also enjoy working with different forms of art, from painting to embroidery, because it allows me to express creativity and to find beauty that words can’t quite capture. Reading is another passion of mine, especially books that spark new ideas or different ways of thinking. I’m a huge sci-fi, thriller/mystery, and philosophy fan. These hobbies keep me curious and imaginative, qualities that I believe help me connect with my students and explain concepts in unique, engaging ways.
