Certified Tutor

I am an undergraduate student at The University of Virginia seeking a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry while minoring in the study of economics. I have been involved in STEM focused tutoring for over two years both in a school setting and as a private aid. My experience is primarily composed of working with elementary to middle-school aged children on developing a greater understanding of complex concepts in mathematics, all while providing an encouraging environment. I strongly believe that there is something in every core subject that a student can learn to appreciate. Therefore, I strive to teach students to expand on the "why" we use or develop a skill as opposed to the blatant "how". If you don't find me working on class-work or studying, there's a good chance I am either in the gym preparing powerlifting competitions, or out spending time with my friends and family.
