Certified Tutor

I have been a middle school math and science teacher for the past 18 years. I have taught in a variety of settings with students of varying skill levels/experience. I have math and science experience in grades 5-10. I have worked with students in gifted programs, students with IEP/ 504 accommodations, and with students learning English as their second language. Over the past 7 years, I have tutored a number of students in school related subjects and I have worked with middle/high school students on organization, study skills, test taking skills, and time management skills. I have also tutored/taught small classes preparing students for the ACT, SAT, GRE, and LSAT. In my experiences tutoring, the most rewarding part is watching my students grow academically and in their confidence as they work toward achieving the goals they have set for themselves. I value education and live by a growth mindset daily in my own life. I have a passion for learning and growing. I model this passion for my students and encourage them to become lifelong learners as well!
