Certified Tutor

The teaching and learning process is important to me because it is a means of searching for truth, knowledge, and valuable information for the advancement of civilization and promotion of a better life for humanity. I have a record of accomplishment of teaching/tutoring chemistry for about two decades and working with teaching assistants at the academy/high schools and college/university levels. I taught and tutored High School Chemistry, Math and Physics subjects, General Chemistry, Quantitative chemical analysis, Organic and Inorganic chemistry and physical chemistry courses. I am a graduate of The Pune University with second degree and Addis Ababa University with first degree in Chemistry. I did post graduate research works at Max Planck institute in Germany and Notre Dame University here in US and currently teaching chemistry at Andrews University. These experiences help me to value different cultures and background of diverse students and communicate with all well and effectively with due respect for all. I am interested in tutoring young people, see them to thrive and grow in knowledge and be someday-valuable citizens of our society. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Chemistry, Math and Physics courses. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests with confidence, we always seem to have the most fun with remarkable advancements. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading that which enriches my inner-life, doing research with silver and gold nano-particles, playing soccer, walking, creating new recipes of food cooking and traveling to see nature and visit with old and new friends.
