Certified Tutor

I have been a licensed educator for the past 32 years, and I absolutely love working with students of all ages as they discover new strategies to be lifelong learners. Working with middle school-aged students has been where I have spent most of my career, and I've taught in Oklahoma, Nebraska, New Mexico and Florida. When I was in 7th and 8th grade, my family lived in Israel, which became the foundation of my love of learning, cultures, and the acquisition of language. My certifications are in all subject areas through 6th grade, Language Arts and Reading through 9th grade and I have my Reading endorsement. I will have my ELL/ESOL endorsement by next spring.
My enthusiasm for teaching and learning helps put my students at ease. Creating a safe, friendly learning environment for my students is very important to me, whether that is in person or in a virtual presence.
I look forward to tutoring students to help boost their confidence, skills, and knowledge base to further make connections between their prior knowledge and new learning.
