I am a graduate of the University of Winnipeg and received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. After that, I continued on to a Post-Graduate Dimploma in Art Therapy. I have worked with children and adults tutoring them in arts and creativity programs. I have also worked for 15 years supporting children and adults with special needs to participate in educational and recreational programs and activities. I tutored a man with special needs one on one in high school math and english and have 5 years of online experience teaching ESL to children, teens and adults.
While I have experience with a broad range of subjects and grades from K-12, I particularly enjoy tutoring writing, reading, visual arts, special education and ESL. I like to engage my students in the subject and make learning enjoyable and not a chore. I offer a lot of praise and promote empowerment so they can experience successes along the way.
I also teach a meditation practice where I help people stay calm and centered in the midst of life's challenges!
Outside of my work, I enjoy traveling, art, writing, cooking and meditation!
