I earned my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with an Applied Math minor at Purdue University. I joined the aerospace industry, where I worked on a number of space-based electro-optical and laser systems. I taught High School Math for five years after my retirement. I also have tutored all levels of Math to over 250 students in Middle school, High School, and College. I have found that students do better when I keep my sessions on an engaging, light and informal level. I try to generate a real understanding and appreciation for each math topic. I also use my experience to add examples of math applications to real world problems.
