I'm a graduate of Bob Jones University, where I majored in Secondary Education. My primary fields of study were Social Studies and English. Throughout 18 years of classroom instruction and many years of tutoring, Algebra has become my real passion. Many students struggle with math, but I have learned that any student can gain confidence and proficiency through one-on-one instruction that is tailored to their learning style. I have a calm and patient teaching style. I especially love to teach middle school and lower high school Algebra and math.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my husband and our three grown children and their families. We enjoy playing board games together. I also love to read, especially historical novels. I like to keep my mind sharp with word games and number games.

I love animals, reading, and traveling. I recently had the opportunity to travel to three national parks; I was captivated not only by the incredible landscapes, but also by the variety of wildlife that I had never seen before! In addition to reading, I enjoy quiet activities like number puzzles and word games.
