The past six years I have been working at an after-school program for economically challenged children grades K-6th. I am the kindergarten reading specialist in the Early Childhood Reading Program and also work with students in other grade levels whenever necessary. I have taught 6th grade Social Studies remotely to students in South Carolina. I tutor privately working with students from K-12. Additionally, I have worked with a company where teachers work remotely with students in one on one, small group, and whole class instruction settings, since 2019. I really enjoy teaching virtually and found it easy to adapt to completely working virtually when the country was in quarantine.

I am hardworking, well organized, and quick thinking. Working with children has been a passion of mine since I was a kid myself and do my best to ensure all of my students get the focus and direction they need from me, as equally as I can. The thing that separates me from other teachers is that I am empathetic to all my students and do everything I can to instill confidence, social-emotional and life skills throughout my lessons. I am not only patient, compassionate, and determined, but I fight for the underdog and put all of my efforts into ensuring all my students not only grow as readers but as happy, healthy, hardworking individuals who are proud to show the accomplishments they have made.

I have wanted to teach since I was in the third grade and have overcome every obstacle big or small to make mine and my students' dreams come true. I hope to rub this determination and love for learning off onto my students so that they can become successful, well-rounded individuals.
