Certified Tutor

I graduated from Boston University with a degree in Psychology and English. I have enjoyed learning my whole life, though certain subjects came naturally to me while others really did not. Since graduating college I worked for several years in the psychology field- doing both clinical work as well as research, first with kids 5-13yrs old and then adults (i.e., 18+yrs old). I worked at the Harvard psychiatric hospital, as well as at various Boston-based hospitals. I then was accepted into a PhD program to continue my studies in Clinical Psychology. Throughout my time post-bac, and currently in my doctoral program I work with college students on their writing and critical reading skills. I am most passionate about English, Language Arts, and Reading. I additionally have always had a love for math and problem solving. My approach as a mentor and tutor, is to empower students to realize their unique skillset and to maximize their potential to achieve the results they want. As a tutor, my role is to be a guide and assistant to every student seeking to improve their knowledge and understanding of a subject. In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, cooking, dancing, and traveling.
