Certified Tutor

I recently graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I have always loved learning, but that does not mean it came easy for me. I sometimes struggled with certain subjects, but I was lucky enough to have teachers that worked to help me understand those subjects better. The examples of my teachers inspired me to want to help other students that may need extra help in school. I have had the opportunity to volunteer in high school and elementary school classes as a teacher's assistant to help tutor such students. In college I had the opportunity to work as a lab manager, where I led many research projects. I also volunteered as a mentor to other biology students. These experiences taught me how to cater my teaching style to the student. I tutor a variety of subjects, but I am most passionate about inspiring students to appreciate the world through biology. All in all, I want my students to approach learning with a positive attitude and believe that they can improve.
