I received my Bachelor's of Science in Physics, with a minor in Mathematics, from SUNY Geneseo in 2017 and in 2019, I received my Master's of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University at Buffalo. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Computational Physics at the University at Buffalo. My research at UB involves developing scalable computational solvers for linear and nonlinear equations, which can be used to study various plasma and astrophysical phenomenon, such as solar flares. As an undergraduate and graduate student I have worked as a Teaching Assistant and Lab Instructor for various physics/engineering courses. I have extensive programming knowledge in Python and C/C++ as well as the software Matlab and Wolfram Mathematica. I also have experience in high school and undergraduate physics and Mathematics courses, particularly Calculus and Linear Algebra. I believe that the most important skill a student can learn is problem solving. It may be that you do not always know the exact answer to a problem, but having the ability to reason your way through the steps in a potential solution is invaluable.
