I am currently a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in Human Development and Family Studies with minors in Education and Social and Economic Justice. In June 2021, I will begin my studies at Johns Hopkins University where I will be pursuing a graduate degree in Education. I have been working with students in grades K-5 since 2017, helping them grow in their reading and STEM skills through my role as an Afterschool and Day Camp counselor at the YMCA. I also served as a tutor for 3-5 grade students in Chapel Hill, NC. As a future educator, I believe that all students have potential to succeed in their education and my teaching and tutoring approach is centered on responding to the needs and goals of each student. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching documentaries, cooking, and baking.
