I'm a Korean American and Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Washington University in St. Louis. I'm passionate about teaching, and my current core teaching subjects are Economics (micro & macro, from Intro to Advanced), Econometrics, and Probability/Statistics.
As a lecturer, I independently prepared and taught undergraduate economics classes Introduction to Microeconomics (Econ 1011) during summer sessions of Washington University to undergraduate students in 2018 and to talented high school students in 2017.
As a teaching assistant from 2016 to 2020 at Washington University, I held TA sessions and office hours for Capital Market Imperfections and Entrepreneurial Finance (Econ 428) of professor Bruce Petersen, Understanding the Financial Crisis (Econ 4301) of professor Fernando Martin, Microeconomics (MEC 290) of professor Daniel Gottlieb, Introduction to Microeconomics (Econ 1011) of professor Brian Rogers, and Development Economics (Econ 471) of professor Sanghmitra Gautam.
As a tutor from 2012 to 2014 at California State University Fullerton where I got my master's degree in Economics (GPA 3.97), I helped undergraduate students, one-on-one, at Mihaylo College Tutoring Center, with courses such as Econometrics, Mathematical Economics, Introduction to Microeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Introduction to Macroeconomics, and Intermediate Macroeconomics.
Aside from my core teaching subjects, I can also help with Quantitative Reasoning measure of the GRE General Test and graduate school application.
I have a quite outgoing personality, and I enjoy being relaxed. I'd like to be a friend of you and help you understand concepts in economics, statistics, or mathematics, and share methods in dealing with these subjects. I am responsible and I hope you too are responsible in learning. Thank you for reading.
