I consider myself extremely fortunate that academics come so naturally to me, and love putting in the time and effort to bring others to higher levels of understanding. I have been a tutor since I was in my teens and love working with students from different backgrounds and with differing goals. I am a big advocate for boosting student confidence as it helps improve performance and self-esteem both in and out of the classroom.
As far as my own academic pursuits...thanks to some personal health obstacles, I am now a non-traditional student who has studied in multiple science disciplines, including animal science, chemistry and biology. At this point in my career, I am focused on evolutionary neurophysiology and plan to attend medical school upon graduating.

Hobbies

When I'm not in school, I enjoy keeping busy...whether it be basketweaving, sewing, or carpentry. I enjoy building and designing enclosures and enrichment items for our various exotic reptiles, birds, chickens, and cats. If it allows me to exercise my brain and work with my hands at the same time, I'm in. I am also an EMT and it's my passion for medicine that keeps me going!
