I am a credentialed, highly-skilled and ambitious English teacher. Knowledge comes to those that are willing to learn and also prepared to failure and learn from their experiences. Growth mindset plays a significant role in how I approach teaching. Sometimes we fail, but it's how we dust ourselves off and move forward that tells us what kind of learner we are! I strive to adapt every lesson I give to the specific and unique needs of each student I work with. A little background about me, I received my bachelors degree in English with an emphasis in American Cultures in a Global context from the University of California, Santa Barbara . After my undergraduate education, I stepped into the classroom teaching 8th grade English. While teaching full-time, I also received my Masters of Education with an emphasis in Teacher Leadership from National University. I have 5+ years of teaching under my belt and I am well equipped to tutor students in English literature, reading comprehension, critical thinking and writing structures.
