I am a graduate from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee with a BA in Mass Communications (Radio/Television) and I obtained my Masters of Education Degree in Education-Special Education from Grand Canyon University. I started my career as an Radio Account Executive, which provided me the opportunity to not only educate but teach individuals about how to grow their business. This encouraged me to to pursue my ultimate goal of becoming a teacher. I started my teaching career as a Substitute Teacher and returned to obtain my Masters Degree of Education in Special Education because teaching has always be my first career choice. My son is also special needs and for years, I was on the other side of the table in IEP meetings and I felt I could make a difference in other kids lives mentoring and educating. My favorite subjects and area of expertise is that I am passionate about teaching students that knowledge is power and that learning does not always have to be difficult, but fun if we look at how practicing makes permanent and not perfect. My goal as a tutor/teacher is to make learning memorable, fun and to challenge student's skill levels. I get the joy of seeing a student master a skill that he/she thought they would not ever achieve.
