Certified Tutor

I am a graduate of Gettysburg College, George Mason University, and Virginia Tech. I am a Virginia Certified teacher and administrator, and recently received my PhD in Educational Policy and Leadership. I have worked tutoring children and adults in Virginia looking to improve their English (as I am a certified ESL instructor); and private clients in the DC region in SAT/ACT prep for the last 7 years. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English, Math, and Test Prep. In my experience helping struggling students prepare for Standardized Tests is the most rewarding area for me to tutor because they can see and achieve their goals in a shorter and more definitive way. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. As a graduate student and lifelong learner, I practice what I preach.
