Certified Tutor
I graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in English. I love to read and write, and I know what a difficult, personal kind of work it is. Writing can provoke anxiety and self-doubt--but it can also be a rewarding process of self-discovery! I'm passionate about helping students develop their unique voices through writing, be it creative, academic, or professional. In my tutoring sessions, I focus on creating a positive and open environment, while leaving students with actionable strategies to improve their writing. Whether you want to develop an essay topic, hone a thesis statement, organize your ideas or improve your style, I am committed to helping you meet your goals and develop confidence as a writer!
At Yale, I worked as a Writing Partner in the Yale College Writing Center. I met with students at every stage of the writing process in one-on-one, hour-long sessions to read their work and provide feedback. Outside of Yale, I have worked as a creative writing instructor, college essay counselor, and English-language teacher. My students come from all ages and backgrounds, from four-year-old playwrights to adult English learners to high school essayists! No matter the subject, I love helping people learn more about the world--and themselves--through reading and writing. (I also love baking, knitting, and a good Netflix binge.)
