I'm pleased to be joining Varsity Tutors!

I hold an English Literature and Language degree from the University of Michigan. I began my college literature endeavors at Grand Valley State University, where I quickly rose up getting excellent marks in English and History. I was there accepted into the Honors Program and Dean Listed. I transferred to Michigan after three full years at GVSU and took advanced English Literature coursework for two full additional years, until my graduation was effective in August of 1996. I studied a variety of genres, including eighteenth, nineteenth, and twentieth century literature, and related history. I enjoyed most Modern American Women's Literature and my Irish Literature Honors course, for which I drafted my senior thesis that received an A on Yeats' Second Coming. My professor was the world-renowned expert on Yeats for many years, finding hidden manuscripts in his family attic during the 1990s.

In 1997, I had the pleasure of working as a substitute teacher for the Grand Rapids, MI public schools, including all K through twelve grades.

Since then, I was blessed to receive a University of Michigan Law degree and to work for many large AMLAW 100 firms. I enjoy teaching, including winning the regional tournament and driving the van with of my Mock Trial Team to the Des Moines State Championship, during my first time as a PVJH teacher.

Additionally, I was employed for over a year with Educational Testing Services as a formal SAT grader. In this role, I graded thousands English SAT entrance exams, providing feedback and improvement recommendations to management.

I welcome the opportunity to respond to all English Grammar, Spelling, Writing, Reading, and Literature students' questions and coursework initiatives.
