Certified Tutor

I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, summa cum laude honors, from Taylor University, a #1 ranked liberal arts college. I'm a gifted writer and have taken coursework spanning marketing, sociology, anthropology, communications, history, and literature. I discovered that I loved tutoring when I began helping friends review for tests in history and proofreading essays and papers. Tutoring is fun for me because I love to see when someone can engage a new idea and make connections with broader psychological, historical, and political themes, all while gaining an appreciation for a new subject.

When I'm not tutoring, I'm working as an Assistant Coach for Evans Rowing Club. Coaching is simply tutoring that allows me to be out on the river! I love helping my athletes learn new skills and techniques while building the mental toughness they need to succeed.

I'm a bit of a nerd, and my sisters make fun of me for listening to podcasts on economics, politics, theology, and psychology. I don't only like nerdy subjects, though - I'm obsessed with the Office Ladies podcast and anything "The Office". I might make an Office reference during a tutoring session, so we'll be a great fit if you have a good sense of humor!
