"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." -Benjamin Franklin
I LOVE tutoring in history. With my B.A. in History from the University of Texas at San Antonio and my M.A. in Middle East Studies from the University of Washington in Seattle, I have spent many years focusing on this one area. Many people have often commented how boring studying history can be, but with the right tutor history comes alive! I gear my personal tutoring style to meet the needs of my students. I believe in discussing your current academic struggles then working together to devise a plan as a team to clear your hurdles. Although I'm comfortable teaching various types of history, my academic interests extend far beyond just history. I'm enjoying tutoring in other subjects like: English grammar and writing, Literature, Art History, World Religions, world cultures, Arabic (beginning/grammar),and English as a Second Language (ESL).
Outside of all my academics I enjoy traveling around the USA and the world, photography, cooking, baking, movies, and music of various types. I'm quick to laugh and easy to be with. Many people have commented I put them at ease right away. Student comfort is a top priority for me and I promote a low stress environment. I look forward to working with you!
