As an undergraduate in the Department of Industrial Physics Abia State University Uturu, Nigeria, I acquired training in different aspects of Physics with a major in Industrial Physics. I earned a master's degree in Physics with a concentration on solar energy and its applications from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, Enugu State Nigeria and a master's in Physics with a concentration on high-temperature superconductivity from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University Greensboro. Currently, I am reading for a Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Nano-engineering at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Rapid City, during which a master's degree in Nano Science and Nanoengineering was earned. Being a master's students in physics, I taught lab courses, grade, and corrected student's lab books after each lab session for fresher and sophomore in North Carolina. Through the use of graphs and diagrams where necessary, I assisted students during tutoring hour or office hours with their physics assignments to ensure a full understanding of the fundamentals of the topic.
I apply professional attributes such as; critical thinking skills, flexibility, time management, work prioritization, diligence, enthusiasm, and vigor in the completion of assigned duties/projects. I have a strong sense of purpose and work ethic with the ability to think and work as a team. The passion for physics and the knowledge acquired in calculation courses, such as; Algebra, Physics, and Geometry coupled with teaching philosophy, helps to make sure students have a wide range of understanding and problem-solving abilities. Interest outside of physics is to make road trips during free time to understand the geographical and historical phenomenon of various places around the country like that of National State Parks.
Tutoring students outside the physics department help to strengthen, sharpen, and enrich my academic and professional capabilities as well as to equip students with the much-needed tools required in today's competitive and continuously expanding job market.
