Hello. My name is John. Welcome to Varsity Tutors! I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from Boston College, where I was an honors student and an orientation leader. After graduating, I taught high school English and have over 6 years tutoring experience with students age 6-18, including 2 years as a volunteer at 826LA, an after school writing lab in Los Angeles, founded by author Dave Eggers. I currently teach English as a Second Language with VIPKid to young students in China and I love it! I also have 3 years experience teaching test prep, specifically the ISEE exam.
