Certified Tutor

Hi there! I am a graduate of the University of Texas at Dallas where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minors in Government. I am also a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law. I've been with Varsity Tutors for over a year now, and I am always excited to meet new students!

I am passionate about education and the tremendous practical value and happiness it adds to our lives. I come from a long line of teachers. My mother, aunt, cousins, and older sister all teach professionally, and all influenced my love for both education and children. During law school, I volunteered with a few different tutoring programs for elementary school children, helping them complete their homework and reading assignments. I've also been tutoring my own 8 nieces and nephews from ages 5 to 16 for many years! My time with Varsity Tutors has been a life-changing experience. I've learned just as much from my students as I believe I've taught them. They are smart, kind, funny, wonderful kids, and they've showed me how everyone needs their own personalized approach to learning.

In addition to my legal and psychology background, I love learning languages and have been studying French since middle school. I even spent a semester in college in Orlans, near Paris. But I'm also in love with my native language, English. I've written creative short stories, newspaper articles, legal journal notes, poetry, etc. I would love to help my students with any writing they want to create or or fine-tune. Finally, I am a passionate advocate for STEM education, and I've thoroughly enjoyed teaching science and math to my enthusiastic students this past year. I am excited to share my expertise in any way that I can!
