Hello, my name is Isabel and I am a recent college graduate and a current member of AmeriCorps VISTA. I attended Bryn Mawr College and graduated in May 2018, and began my service here in the Richmond area soon after. I studied Political Science while at Bryn Mawr, and completed my senior honors thesis. I also studied Peace, Justice, and Human Rights. I have a strong love for learning, reading, and exploring.

While in high school I taught hundreds of students on a variety of subjects, age ranging fourth grade through high school. My teaching method was focused on empowering the whole individual, so they can understand their learning styles, strengths, and weaknesses and build a plan for success. I also worked hard on helping students develop core competencies such as critical analysis and research skills, to gain the tools for future success in any subject. I believe that every student is capable of greatness, and it is important to work with the individual to understand how they can fulfill their potential.

While in college I studied politics, history, environmental studies, philosophy, literature, logic, and a myriad of other topics. I have a diverse array of interests and a love of learning, and I am so thrilled to have the opportunity to work with students and help them on their educational journey.
