I'm currently working towards my second Master's degree in Education (I also have a Bachelor's and Master's in Museum Studies). My journey into the teaching field happened by chance when I completely butchered an interview (or so I thought) by talking too much about how I loved learning. Then the interviewer gave me the fateful words, "I don't think you'd be a match for here, but my wife just started a new school I think you'd be a good fit for." Since then I've been enjoying my chosen field greatly. I've found being able to teach kids the things I love has been so much more fulfilling than sitting in an office at a museum would have been.

Since then I've taught 6th and 8th grade History, High School Art, and I've tutored SAT English for the past three years.

In my free time I enjoy reading (I'm a big nerd when it comes to reading historical fiction, or even non-fiction), playing board games, and watching anime. I also minored in Japanese in college, so I also look for opportunities to keep learning more about the language.
