I am very happy with our experience so far with Varsity Tutors. They matched my daughter with reading specialist Mary and she is wonderful! My 10 year old daughter feels happy after her sessions and believes her tutor has already helped her.

Certified Tutor

Hello!
My name is Margaret Noble, and I was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. I currently reside in Puyallup, WA. I have over three years experience in tutoring at WSU for Writing and English. On my spare time, I enjoy watching Shark Tank, exploring Seattle, and playing trivia games.

Helping students reach their full potential is the ultimate goal. Often we are overwhelmed with the subject or assignment that we forget about the skills we have. Being your tutor allows me to examine your problem areas, understand your strengths, and unlock the necessary skills needed to overcome the obstacle at hand. My tutoring approach is simple: building a friendship. As your tutor, I will spend some time getting to know you and creating a level of trust.

My strongest suit is writing. I am a writing enthusiast! My experience in writing ranges from proofreading, editing, outlining, citations/format, and brainstorming. Also, I am well-versed in helping with college essays. I provide thorough feedback and recommendations via Word or Google Docs. Lastly, I have experience in elementary and middle school math, reading, and writing.

A session with me will consist of a quick assessment of you and your skills, an individualized tutoring plan, and resources tailored to your needs to use during and after our tutoring session. I am incredibly patient but honest. I believe in providing constructive criticism and motivating my students to want more. For my younger kiddos, I am big on visual learning. I will use a range of tools such as virtual games, storybooks, pictures, and props to tutor students. At the conclusion of our sessions, we will conduct a short advisory meeting. During the meeting, we will discuss progress, adjust goals, and address new problem areas that may have arisen. At the end of the day, when you win; we all win.

Overall, I am excited to work both students and parents to provide access to resources and the necessary skills to be successful. Bring yourself to the session and be you! Authenticity, creativity, and fun are the key components to making our sessions awesome! Feel free to reach out to me with any additional questions or to schedule a session!
